Experienced Product Designer (UX & UI)

What you will do:

Our Design department includes the Brand and Product design – As a Designer in City Hive
you will become a core influencer to the way things are being planned, designed and executed. Thorough product design process – from UX to UI, including multiple solutions to complex and challenging product tasks and deep understanding of the problem you need to solve.
Partner with the R&D, Customer success and Biz Dev teams to oversee that the user experience is simple, straightforward, and elegant.
Design web applications that are in use by millions of users, and make a true impact on the company’s future as well as on that of its thousands of customers.

This is a full-time, in-office role in our New York City office (as a general rule, we are in the office at least four days each week).

Responsibilities:

  • Create intuitive, visually compelling user interfaces
  • Enhance overall user experience with innovative design strategies
  • Solve complex design challenges with creative solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Customer Success, Support, R&D, Sales…) to define product vision and user needs
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables
  • Create mockups and interactive prototypes, including motion design (videos, GIFs, etc.)
  • Design engaging social media content to promote products and brand
  • Design impactful presentations for internal and external use

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a product designer in a startup company – MUST
  • Experience in eCommerce – MUST
  • Ability to work fast and produce multiple solutions – MUST
  • Experience working and collaboration with R&D, Customer Success and Support – MUST
  • Portfolio showcasing product UX/UI skills – MUST (Please add link in the notes below)
  • Experience working on complex dashboards (B2B2C, B2B) – Advantage
  • Understanding the product’s lifecycle – Advantage
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, self-taught, curious, fast learner, fast to respond
  • Technical Skills:
    • Figma & Adobe XD & Illustrator & Photoshop – MUST
    • Adobe After Effects & Premier (motion design skills) – Advantage
    • Code knowledge (front end – HTML, CSS, JS) – Big Advantage
